Six Suspected Armed Robbers Arrested Following Route 78 Pursuit: Njsp

Six people suspected of involvement in an armed robbery were arrested following a pursuit with multiple police departments on Route 78 on Saturday, New Jersey State Police said on Facebook.

At 9:05 a.m., Newark police were pursuing a vehicle westbound on I-78 in Tewksbury, state police said.

The vehicle came to a stop and the six suspects fled the scene on foot, police said. With the assistance of K-9 and Aviation units, the suspects were apprehended and a firearm was recovered, police said.

Troopers from Somerville Station, Perryville Station and police in Tewksbury and Readington assisted with the capture, state police said.
